ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It’s also called ADD – Attention Deficit Disorder – but this term is no longer widely used.
There are 3 types of ADHD:
- Hyperactive (always moving around)
- Inattentive (daydreaming)
- Mixed (both presentations)
Main characteristics of people with ADHD:
- Good under pressure
- Fidgety
- Daydreaming
- Rapid speech
- Quick-thinking
- Easily distracted
- Can multitask
- Can hyperfocus
- Time blindness
- Difficulty completing projects
